Android users: Google has installed without asking permission an app called "Android System SafetyCore" on Android phones that scans all incoming images to "detect suspicious (including naked) content".
The app was not found in the apps installed on my handset. I found it through this link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.safetycore
@bhasic I found it just writing the name In the play store. I was annoyed with Google already before but now... I will slowly free myself from it. It will take me some time but eventually I'll get there.
@Kuunvirta There's no regulations or rules anymore. U.S. corporations can do what they want.
@bhasic I live in the middle of Europe, I use #lineageos22 on my phone, and yet I found this app installed without me asking.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
