@charlesroper Trying to do this for #Brighton #Wildlife ... it's still very quiet on the Mastodon #brightonwildlife
@brightonwildlife@mastodon.social
Keep going! You're doing great. Small and quiet is beautiful. Quality over quantity. Build you community slowly, naturally, steadily and meaningfully. No need to force it.
Consider using a group like @brightonwildlife@a.gup.pe. Groups federate better than hashtags and can be added to lists.
More info about groups: https://fedi.tips/how-to-use-groups-on-the-fediverse/
Consider writing a guide on your site advising people what hashtags, groups, and accounts to follow.

Great - following the a.gup.pe, let's see how it progresses.
Certainly not going to rush it. That was attempted with #CityWildlife, which is now extinct. Even the famous 'School Grounds' initiative has vanished.
At the moment the focus is on building up a local evidence base. A lot of sites, like Withdean Park and St. Ann's Well Gardens are not considered as 'Wildlife Sites'. Nobody told the creatures living there that.
