@gnuhealth @gnusolidario @fsfe Is GNU Health compliant with standards like ISO62304? I think that's really the major barrier to making open source/hardware medical devices. If you're making a class A the barrier isn't that great, but when you start entering the realm of potential harm and class B/C software/devices there is a LOT of effort that has to go behind that that has little to do with actual coding.
