Friend: Why do you have a printer, and a laser one at that? Just store files in the cloud and share them. No need to print!
Me: Yeah, right. Like I want my !sensitive documents floating around in the cloud for who-knows-who to peek at. Besides, sometimes you just need a hard copy... like when the Wi-Fi's down and or certain Tax/GST departments insist on tax-paid receipts along with a paper by the end of each financial year.!
Cloud is someone else's computer, and there are many cases where your Google or whatever cloud you use deactivates your account for many reasons. As a seasoned IT person, I won't even trust printers connecting to the Internet. Forget about storing files on the cloud. Now, they are using your files to train AI by tricking and hiding training options. You can't trust 3rd party.

Summary: a networked printer is a hackers best friend!
