Love this annoying window inside Photoshop which has all the design sensibilities of a malicious popup on a porn website.
@jamesthomson That gives me as much confidence as "Dana Geniune Apple Hardware" should.
@NanoRaptor I would trust you more!
@NanoRaptor @jamesthomson My Apple Jonathan Cocaine Edition works just as well as the day it shipped.
@NanoRaptor @jamesthomson if you ever sold models or posters, I would love to have some Dana Genuine Apple Hardware in my life.
@NanoRaptor @jamesthomson The difference is, though: your work has love and soul put into it. (James’s, too.)
@jamesthomson At least its Genuine.
@jamesthomson ‘Genuine Service!’
@jamesthomson Definitely has strong "Your Computer Is Broadcasting An IP Address!" vibes.
@jamesthomson It's only a little better than Firefox's "You must update in order to continue using Firefox" that completely stops you in your tracks.
Goodbye stateless window I was about to click a button on...
@tankgrrl Indeed… With this, I particularly enjoy the lack of a “Actually I'm busy trying to work, please not right now button”!
@jamesthomson They might as well call it “Adobe Seems Legit Service Alert”
@jamesthomson Or so you’ve been told that’s what they look like on porn websites…?
@jamesthomson Perhaps time to power on some old PowerMac and make use of Photoshop Creative Suite 3 or something? Not as feature-packed and takes more time rendering high-res images, but on the other hand: dealing with an update process is rather time consuming, too, sometimes.
@jamesthomson but it says “genuine” at the top!
@jamesthomson considering older versions worked better…
@jamesthomson A productowner has an idea….

@jamesthomson
Good thing the notice says it's genuine -otherwise i might feel like something shady was happening
@jamesthomson I’m going to guess someone at Adobe said “let’s use our custom window system instead of a wrapper of OS windows because it’s ours and an intern did this anyway.”
Adobe probably should have done their own OS like was rumored back in the early 2000s.
@jamesthomson I see this every morning before my Teams meeting... Usually a reload does get it to ask if I wanted to in the first place, but not always.
@jamesthomson I wouldn’t know. Is that what they look like?
@jamesthomson yep, on brand!
@jamesthomson It says it's genuine. What's your problem?
Genuine!
GENUINE!
geNuIne
You got trust issues?
Genuine, I tell you!
Damn they're bad...
