A new Linux user is learning to use Linux graphics apps for the first time.
@nixCraft now where's the fish ?
@nixCraft That's an awesome Linux user
@nixCraft Huh, i gotta turn on the audio next time i use gimp. Never heard of that feature!
@nixCraft about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen!
@nixCraft That seemed way too easy for the first time using Linux graphics apps.
@nixCraft I was waiting for the penguin to leave a little surprise graphics effect
@nixCraft I am currently learning InkScape and this exactly mirrors my experience. Best artist in the world!
@nixCraft I still can't figure out how to draw a straight line with this.
@sepdroid @nixCraft In Inkscape:
Click on the Pencil Tool in the toolbar. ( you can hover over the tools to see which is which). Click on the start point on your Canvas. Move the mouse pointer to your end point. Click on the end point.
Click on the Select tool. Select the line by clicking on it. Click on the node tool. Drag to make your line a curve. Double-click on a point with the Node Tool and drag to make two straight lines ending at that point. <ctrl-Z> if you make an error.
Awesome!
@nixCraft It's a little known fact that if you build your 3d printer with Linux it will print actually live penguins.
@nixCraft Why did no one ever tell me that getting penguins to make footprint paintings was a career option?
@nixCraft I will entrust this random Linux user with full sudo access to my main machine.
@nixCraft the little wiggle of the tail at the end OMG SHE’S SO PRECIOUS
@nixCraft "I have no clue what I'm doing."
@nixCraft Just "Tux paint"...
@nixCraft ...still easier than graphics on very old nvidia hardware...
@nixCraft
feel like art is about human’s paw in papers or any materials....
@nixCraft I'm not a Linux user but everyone needs to see this video.
@nixCraft suggested alt text: Crested penguin walks over large stamp cushion and than sheet of paper, and again; both it and its carer (Jane) are gleeful.
