Can't recall what they were up to when I wandered by, but very happy to volunteer for (insist on) a portrait together, as brothers.

Colour photo of two young male Chinese citizens, one aged perhaps 15 and his younger brother, perhaps six or seven. They're outdoors in bright winter sunlight beneath a heavy low-cloud winter sky. Older brother is looking directly at us, in a relaxed casual embrace, with his hand on the woollen hatted head of his brother who looks into the near distance, likely wondering why he's been grabbed for a photo. Their clothing - reds, burgundy and greys - is well worn western style clothing, layered well against the cold. Both faces are a little grubby, reflecting the freedoms of the outdoors and the practicalities of helping around the family home, livestock, wood gathering and such.
