@ManyRoads @AnnaAnthro all we have to do is make sure we don't get a US-friendly puppet government who sells us out to make a quick buck, and instead improve our relationships with other markets, and don't forget to improve things for ourselves within Canada, by creating more opportunities and providing more and better services to Canadians.
We can be friendly with the US when they reciprocate it, but certainly not when they squeeze or try to kill us.

@AnnaAnthro People like Vance only understand aggressive denunciations. Try to talk nicely to them and they call it "whining" or a "sob story." This further reduces the chance of communication between people of different views.

@AnnaAnthro I would also add that the Canadian organized an airlift to drop food to civilians by agreeing to let the Germans flee. This saved thousands of lives and was done over the objections of the Brits and usa.
