- This is a white mountain marsh-marigold (Caltha leptosepala) that I photographed a few years ago on a subalpine trail in Vancouver Island. It was growing next to a stream.

Flowers with white petals and yellow pistil. The leaves are rounded and curled up. There is dew covering the plants. In the background, there is a patch of moss and a stream but they are out of focus due to the short depth of field.
