Now that they own the govt, the broligarchs want US intervention globally to secure broligarch profits. Surprise.
Analysis: "Peter Thiel Dreams of Empire"
Broligarchs say their companies shouldn't "be beholden to governments."
Now they have control of the US govt, they think it ought to intervene on their behalf if "any other countries interfere with their business."

@DrALJONES Well, naturally. What else have Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) provisions in various international agreement been about?
Yes, but they have been relatively quiet-strangling affairs. Trump wants full military - like the good ol' post war days
@DrALJONES I completely agree with the thrust of your tweet but I'm curious about this phrase, "now they have control of the US govt".
The "they" are folks that own online platforms like Musk and Thiel.
But what about America's generational oligarchs like the Kochs, Waltons, Malones, Hearsts, etc...?
I can't imagine folks like that ceding any ground to the PayPal Mafia.
Stephen A Schwarzman, CEO of Blackstone, is still more powerful than Musk, right?
Yes, it's a great question, VWC.
From my (non-specialist) reading, what's happening is a struggle between the old corporate & the new tech guard oligarchies.
Just currently, the new has control of Trump, ie, the purse strings. Who knows for how long?
Hedges mentions the struggle in a piece:
