@ExtentOfTheJam i had forgotten how washed out game gear screens were. weirdly enough it's a vibe.

@hobbsc it does look quite a bit less washed out in person, but it is nowhere close to the late 90s screens in terms of refresh

@Bobo_PK @hobbsc tricky thing on those is that a lot of the nicer LCDs are the wrong res, leaving it either windowed or with multiple-size pixels. AFAIK the thing that eats the most battery is the backlight and that can be replaced with an LED
