“#Trump has selected billionaire Massad Boulos to serve as senior adviser on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs, he announced Sunday.
Boulos is the father-in-law of Trump’s daughter, Tiffany, and was heavily involved in the president-elect’s campaign outreach to Muslim communities in battleground states. Trump did not mention his familial connection to Boulos in Sunday’s announcement.”
@GottaLaff So many folks don't/won't know who that is (esp. w/ Tiffany's lower profile than her siblings).
But every appointment is reliably troublesome, sigh.
@GottaLaff Nepotism like the world has never seen before!
@GottaLaff The Trump administration: where in-laws become outlaws.
@GottaLaff And France is seriously chuffed at his pick for ambassador: another family member... and convicted felon.
@anarchic_teapot @GottaLaff The French should just treat him accordingly, share information with his corruption and criminal convictions in mind
@jqmcd @GottaLaff This will almost certainly be the case, for the civil servants anyway.
@GottaLaff We should all keep this saying in mind as 2025 unfolds: "For my friends, everything. For my enemies, the law."
@GottaLaff The grift and nepotism continues.
@GottaLaff Trump may have normalized nepotistic corruption, but no Democrat would ever get away with this…(ok yes JFK picked RFK as AG, but it’s a question of scale & depth)
@jqmcd @GottaLaff Democrats generally don't get away with it in this century, might be a way to put it. There are "legacies," like Jimmy Panetta is now a congressman, a generation after his dad Leon was. But not the direct appointment stuff.
@GottaLaff Every day more from grifter land.
