New year, new goals. Transitioning my career into something different. If you’re interested in purchasing my entire suite of apps off me, please reach out via DMs. I’m always open to chat and would love to give them to someone who’ll look after them.
@JPEGuin @stroughtonsmith No offence, but didn’t you do this (sell your suit of apps) a few years ago?
@PeterGracar @JPEGuin (he built new apps since)
@stroughtonsmith @JPEGuin The reason I ask is that I vaguely recall people saying he builds and quickly abandons one app after another, leaving customers with apps that inevitably break. And I can’t help but feel like I have seen at least 2 or 3 Mastodon clients that he has sold over the last few years. I apologise if I am mistaken, but it all just feels a bit off to me.
@PeterGracar @JPEGuin honestly sounds way smarter than suckers like me who keep updating apps for a decade past their heyday
@stroughtonsmith @JPEGuin Don’t you dare change!
@PeterGracar I did, and it was different circumstances. This comes at a time where I won’t be able to maintain them, so would prefer they go to someone who’ll look after them.
@JPEGuin And here I was JUST discovering Orbit. Maybe open source it if nothing else. Or is the code base the same as Mammoth’s, still? @PeterGracar
@JPEGuin all the best Shihab!
any hints what’s next in your career?
