I'm new here as a #tiktokrefugee so let me give you an intro. I am a #nurse and #dogmom to a reactive german shepherd named Koda. I started off making dog educational content and dog memes but i started adding in personal life content, #community building for everyone but especially reactive dog parents, and generally helping people prepare for what I felt was coming. I will continue to do the same here.
Desperation breeds innovation-you are not alone. You are exactly where you need to be.
Love this vid
@Kate_Koda i love this video. I spent the day yesterday making marshmallows and probiotic soda. As I lay in bed this morning without TikTok to watch, I made plans to start my seed trays for my garden. I feel calm. This is probably what life should be more like.
@everwylde it's on my list to make marshmallows from marshmallow root! I already make my own kefir for myself and koda, and my own greek yogurt. I started a garden last year so we're sitting back and enjoying my homemade canned pasta sauce and applesauce, and slowly going through the frozen corn and zucchini. It's helped our finances a lot.
@Kate_Koda my wife and I have 5 teenagers and having a garden has helped our finances immensely. We also added 4 chickens to our tiny urban farm. I still get about 3 eggs a day even though it's winter. I love it. My heart's desire is to be a farmer and to have a bit more land to grow on, but i am so grateful for our tiny city garden and coop. I'm looking forward to seeing what you share on here!
@everwylde We wish we could get some land too, our state had nothing for sale <$70k. Koda would terrorize chickens if we had them haha
@Kate_Koda i can relate. We live in WA and land is so expensive and the rural areas tend to be full of MAGA. I know there are areas that are more friendly to queer families but those tend to be more expensive.
@everwylde I live in MN and I was shocked by the large amount of MAGA people showing out for the elections with all their signs and flags. I honestly don't know how the state still ended up blue in the end
Welcome, Kate.
Glad you're here.
Looking forward to more of your posts/vids.
