#introduction Hi everybody. 
My name is Anne and I'm from Finland. I created my account today so I'm now studying how to use Mastodon.
I work as a Specialist and I'm interested in Service Design and different cultures. I love cats, #cooking, nature, kayaking and reading/listening to books/nice music. I'm a gentle soul with a positive mindset.

Twitter has been so broken recently.
@KissAnne I’ve pretty much given up on twitter now and posted that I’d be deactivating my account April 1st (which I figured was entirely appropriate 
). However I’ve now heard that the handles for deactivated accounts are being reused, which scares me a bit. So I might unfollow a lot of people and lock the account instead.
I’m loving it here, follow both Rasta and Jarno. It took a bit of getting used to, but now it’s home. Great to see some of my long time followers here.
@GuitarSith Oh that's worrying. Twitter doesn't work anymore. It doesn't show comments on your own tweets anymore. Or a part of them.
I use Twitter in Finnish and Mastodon in English. I don't want to loose all those amazing people I have got to know on Twitter but it takes too much time to use them both, Twitter and Mastodon. Now I have time because I'm on sick leave after the knee replacement surgery but soon I'm working again.
@KissAnne I’m not seeing a lot of my followers tweets anymore, especially anyone who purchased the check mark. Lots of other technical issues too, but definitely an increase in nasty posts.
I hope they add a translation feature here soon. I see a few posts in other languages and it would be nice to get more than an inkling of what’s being said.
@GuitarSith You also retoot pictures of cats. Do you have cats? Sorry I don't remember.
@KissAnne Yes. I still have Leia. Sadly her brother Luke left us three years ago.
@GuitarSith She's beautiful. I'm sorry you lost your other cat. 
@KissAnne We miss him, Leia still cry’s at night because she can’t find him.
@GuitarSith oh that mades me sad. Have you thought having a new kitten to keep her company?
@KissAnne We weren’t sure if she’d accept another cat in what she now considers to be her space. So we just give her as much love and attention as we can.
@GuitarSith I understand that well. My ex husband and I didn't take another cat either to keep Martta company when Miikkulainen passed away. We took two cats later when we didn't have Martta anymore. Now Sanni and Siiri are almost 9 years old and we have "a shared custody". We've had that for 7 years now and it works perfectly. We both love our cats a lot.
@KissAnne I got them when they were 3 months old. She will be 15 this year. They were in the cage at the SPCA together so I’m pretty sure they were brother & sister, but the vet said there was no way to tell for certain. They might have had the same mother but different fathers, since a female cat in heat is often impregnated by multiple male cats.
