Reading about the crash in Washington Post subscriptions/viewership since 2021. I am wondering if it's more related to when they login-walled everything.
I can't be the only person who refuses to give up an email address these days on general principles.

@PatrickoftheG Yep. If I need to read something from there, I’ll always go to archive.ph for that very reason
@marti It's just not worth going into my email address and blocking them, it is not worth that 30 seconds of time. I feel like I am crazy for writing that but it's true.
@PatrickoftheG I'd be in that category. The early moves by several news sites to demanding my email in exchange for access felt unnecessarily intrusive.
