Big annoucement!!!
Tusky 25.0 is officialy out, in F-Droid and Play Store
These are the main updates to this new version:
Support Mastodon translation API
Show post language
Improved screen transitions
Filter settings now moved to account preferences
Post stats now have a stable position
A lot off under-the-hood stability & performance improvements.
Also, #Tusky 25.0 app is smaller in size despite having more features.
@Tusky is there any plans to support post reactions?
@ohanamatsumae not at the moment, but we will take it into account
@Tusky awesome!! Thanks!!!
@dropestrauss you're welcome!
@Tusky I love tusky!!
@oatmilklatte hope you like the new version!!
@Tusky
Btw, are there any plans to add a function to see instances? For example: add a custom tab that show the public timeline of some instance
@dropestrauss not at theoment, sorry! Anyway, hope you like the new version!
@Tusky Oh, I see. It would be cool for the future
Now I'm impatiently refreshing the repositories to see the new version and make the update
(I now it depends on F-Droid, I'm just sharing my enthusiasm )
@allpurposemat thank you for your fidelity!!!
@Tusky The only thing I miss in Tusky is Material You support. Also the icons can have in my opinion an update.
@joenepraat thank you for your input, we will take it into account!!!
@Tusky@mastodon.social does Tusky support (or plans to support) anything other than Mastodon (Misskey, Diaspora, GNU Social, etc.)?
@Albirew we have already added support for GoToSocial...and who knows, maybe more in the future
@Tusky Just updated, that's for keeping this going
@derekmceachern hope you like it!!!
@Tusky been using tusky since I joined mastodon and haven't looked back. recommended it to several others as well. it's a solid app that does everything you need it to without being filled with garbage, which is a rarity these days. appreciate it!
one feature I'd love to see is server emoji sorted by the categories the server has set rather than by alphabetical
@ldottxt Thank you!!! Will take the input about the emojis into account!
@Tusky y'all are wonderful
@Tusky Translation works perfectly, thank you!
@Yamato you,re welcome!!
@Tusky
I love Tusky. Well designed app, great UX.
@mush42 thank you!!
@Tusky Tusky is the best mastodon app on Android.
@geco_de thank you!!!
@browniee thanks for your kind words. And will take your suggestion into account
@Tusky I was a big fan of tusky, but unfortunately had to switch to another client out because I was spending too much time on the trending tab. The big draw of mastodon to me originally was the lack of algorithms.
Will it be possible to customize the contents of side menu and hide the trending options so they're not as easy to access?
@Tusky
Hey! :) Do you do multiple accounts? Couldn't find this info on your home page. Thanks.
@medecinelibre @Tusky it does! I have multiple accounts actually
@dropestrauss
Thanks. Good news. It was not always the case. I had to switch to Fedilab a year ago because of this, even though I prefered the look and feel of Tusky. :)
@Tusky
@Tusky is there a way to adjust the new post stats change so that it doesn't show 0/0 on every post without interactions, instead only showing x/y once it has at least one like or boost? it looks kinda awkward in long conversations where nobody's using those features. (and no I don't want to disable metric display entirely)
@Tusky or is there a way to just roll it back to the previous behaviour; I have a strong enough preference for not seeing 0/0 on every post without interactions that I'd take the less consistent old variable positioning over the new version.
with 0/0 always shown I can't quicky glance over something to see if it has interactions., and I'm drawn to reading those numbers on every post (they're bold!) which isn't a very fun way to read through stuff.
@Tusky unfortunately App crashing at opening after update on all devices!
Manual stop App and Clear Cache also doesn't help.
Only delete all data with loosing everything works, to get App running again.
Too sad
Used it with multiple Accounts and any single one need to be setup again.
@container1 thank you, we will have a look at it. EDIT: we have identified your problem and will be solved soon. Sorry for the inconveniences!!
@container1 @Tusky how many accounts is multiple?
@ConnyDuck @Tusky currently 33
@container1 @Tusky ok yes then stop logging in with more than 5, it will crash again. A fix is on the way!
@ConnyDuck thx for info, previously it worked fine
@container1 nah Tusky 24.1 also handled many accounts incorrectly, it just didn't crash
@ConnyDuck
...but it did not crash!
@Tusky
Any plans on supporting security keys (Yubikey, Solokey, etc)?
@drakenblackknight not at the moment, sorry, but we will take it into account!
