@thehunt Sorry, what I meant was, that even though many users have better platforms to sign up to, which won't scrape and own their data, they will still use Threads.
It's not a problem for Mastodon or every other fediverse instance, sure. But, it's still bad that for some users their first impression of it will come from Meta and a cluttered ad-driven, influencer-suggesting interface. I don't know if that will drive people off or send them to more community driven places, like here.
