Judge says FTC lacks authority to issue rule banning noncompete agreements
Authority cited by FTC just a "housekeeping statute," US judge in Texas rules.

@arstechnica Apparently the legislature failed to prefix the operative language with “Simon Says.”
@arstechnica And it's always a judge in Texas that makes these rulings.
Brown chose to limit "the scope of the injunctive relief herein to named Plaintiff Ryan, LLC and Plaintiff-Intervenors Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America; Business Roundtable; Texas Association of Business; and Longview Chamber of Commerce."Yeah, enjoy your 7000 subsequent predatory lawsuits all calling on that as "precedent" on more and more cases, until slavery is legal again, since you can't leave your employer without never being allowed to work again. Noncompete clauses are the worst.
@cy non-competes have been used to keep fast-food workers in place, not just skilled workers.
@arstechnica That took significantly longer than expected.
@arstechnica thank god for these freedom warriors ensuring we’re all so free. What’s next? Child labor? Oh, wait…
@arstechnica it's long past time to start ignoring this courts judgements.
@arstechnica
Judge is a fascist and wrong, just like the Roberts Court which should be ignored.
@arstechnica
Ignore fascist judges.
