"#HarrietTubman posthumously named a general in #VeteransDay ceremony"
Amongst the greatest of the greatest #Americans to ever live
For those who don't know, in the #CivilWar she used her covert travel, scouting, and subterfuge skills, mastered in the #UndergroundRailroad, to gather intelligence and lead troops, especially the Combahee Ferry raid

General #Tubman it should be, and General Tubman it is
"The raid was so successful that Union forces adopted its tactics for similar operations. Tubman later said that the only flaw was her choice of clothing in that her green dress had been damaged and torn by excited freedmen boarding the ships."

"her involvement in the raid led to a revival of the "General Tubman" appellation... given to her by John Brown... her role in the raid led to her being widely credited as the first woman to lead U.S. troops in an armed assault."
@benroyce
That's cool that they've made Harriet Tubman into a general.
It reminds me that Biden reversed Trump's efforts to stop her from replacing Andrew Jackson on our $20 bills. I expect that Trump will try to block it again perhaps.
