@craiggrannell iPadOS is the prime example, but the problem is right across their software development activities.
They mostly focus on layering cutesy features rather than addressing long standing fundamentals.
They are one of the biggest companies on the planet, yet the pace of software development slows down with every new platform they launch. That they won’t hire enough developers and project managers to let their software division walk and chew gum at the same time is ridiculous.
@davidbcohen The new Springboard stuff is a case in point. Time spent on tinting icons (aesthetics) but seemingly no way to quickly reorder icons. Then again, Stage Control suggests Apple execs like faff and busywork, for some reason.
