Not much room for error.

Panel 1:
The captain of the ship is seen in a close-up, with Ensign Dale standing close behind him, whispering into his ear. The captain lowers his monocular to listen.
Ensign Dale says: "Captain, Ensign Roberts is sleeping on the job."

Panel 2:
The captain responds firmly.
He says: "Well, wake him up and flog him!"

Panel 3:
The captain continues looking through his monocular.
He says: "I'm running a tight ship here."
As the scene zooms out, Ensign Dale is seen flogging Ensign Roberts. Meanwhile, the captain remains focused on the horizon. However, it becomes clear that the ship is comically tiny — just wide enough to fit around their waists.
