Think about when (not if) a rogue government abuses the absurdly broad language of the proposed law.
I don't like TikTok and I loathe the Chinese regime, but this is the absolutely wrong way to deal with the genuine issues.
@dangillmor Honestly, I would vote for "Ban Twitter" before I would vote for "Ban TikTok". And I'm not a fan of banning things I can simply choose not to use...but can't force my neighbors not to use...
@dangillmor You wouldn't want them to force privacy and opt-in -only instead of banning TikTok would you? Destroy a son's faith in unbridled capitalism?
