I’ve been saying that Gurman has been a tool forever. Glad you finally came around.
@daringfireball 'sorry' seems to be the hardest word, huh?
@stroughtonsmith Are you asking me or Mark?
@gruber @stroughtonsmith STS as next guest on The Talk Show? Would be great to get an Irish voice on EU regulation too
@daringfireball For all the decades I've been reading you, since the Movable Type days, you have shown an integrity rare in the access journalism world. John, you have somehow stood astride the great chasm of integrity and compliance with the grace of Jean Claude Van Damme.
@daringfireball The fact that such a meeting is “plausible” is an incredible indictment. Apple finds itself in a position it has not been familiar with in quite some time… trailing its rivals.
@daringfireball @gruber you could put the previous 'the' here #dftypo
@DonSqueak Preservation of the’s!
@daringfireball Typo? “I’m pointing just how singular…” — did you mean “pointing OUT”?
@marinaepelman Yep, thanks again!
@daringfireball that was the piece I was hoping you'd write.
@daringfireball Yep. Gurman is a huge douche. You can easily tell by reading his stuff. Complete lack of humility. His writing is horrible too.
@marcpuricelli @daringfireball the dude blocked me on Twitter for being critical of a story. Talk about fragility
@daringfireball I’d forgotten it was the same “Bloomberg” of the “big hack” infamy. Now that was a steaming pile of horseshit.
@daringfireball bravo. Needed saying.
@daringfireball I'm disappointed you stopped putting in the footnote about how Bloomberg lied about secret chips in servers.
@daringfireball There’s a distinct line between Gurman’s source-based fact reporting and his analysis. The former is generally the best for insider sources. However, his ability to analyze and predict based on this information has been consistently terrible. A good policy is to try to filter out his opinion and focus on the facts reported.
