This is such a milestone.
I was able to find something on my blog by asking a chatbot where I wrote about it. A literate response. This is new. I don't think any writer has ever been able to do this before. This is the kind of thing Google has never been able to do.

@davew In this case, your post was in its training data. If it hadn't been, the chatbot would have made something up. Perhaps this problem could be fixed by combining a chatbot with a checker based on more conventional search technology, to filter out hallucinations.
@davew search is so broken (still!) in so many places anything which can do it better is going to be helpful. eg I gave up long ago doing searches directly on Rotten Tomatoes, whereas a quick google for "rt foo" will always give me the foo I want on that site
@davew This is something I’ve wanted for years. I’ve been a journalist since ‘99 and have tons of published articles and research notes on my hard drive. I think there is a lot of value to be extracted there, with the right tools.
