Today's the birthday of Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl!

Supergirl went to Stanhope College in the 60s/early 70s. As such, one of her nicknames was "the Stanhope Sensation."
The extended Superman and Batman families tend to be friendly with each other, including Batgirl and Supergirl.

- The purple tuxedo-wearing Mr. Mxyztplk (note the spelling) makes one final pre-Crisis appearance here. His Fifth Dimension's tied to Earth-2 (each parallel Earth not only had their own timelines, but dimensions).
- Nasthalthia "Nasty" Luthor is Lex Luthor's niece (via an unseen older sibling) who appeared in 70s stories as a rival/classmate of Supergirl. Missed opportunity for a joke IMO:
NASTY: "My name's 'Miss Luthor', not 'Miss Jackson.' Why do all those middle-aged people keep calling me that?!"
