Today's the birthday (or *will* be the birthday) of Kamandi, the "last boy on Earth."

"Crisis on Infinite Earths" claimed in the post-Crisis singular Earth/timeline (or if the "great disaster" didn't occur), the boy who would've become Kamandi instead grew up to be Tommy Tomorrow, a late Golden Age/early Silver Age space hero who lived in the future.
Either way, Kamandi's future has usually been an "alternate" one to the real future, the one leading to the Legion of Super-Heroes (a Suoerman story revolved around such).
