The party that thinks it has to put excruciating technocratic detail into everything so it passes legal muster at every step of the process versus the party that just says "LOL, no" and overrules it without any justification.
"US appeals court blocks all of Biden student debt relief plan"
We've spent years watching white liberals with their jaws on the floor, unable to believe Republicans can just flout the rules and get away with it and offering up no concrete plans to stop them.
US government is increasingly a game of Calvinball where the only thing that matters is how many corrupt judges Republicans have and whether Democrats are willing to accept corrupt rulings for the sake of decorum.
@gwynnion
Democrats: We mustn't defend the rule of law. What would the neighbors think?
@gwynnion The worst part is, they're bound by an overwrought theory of politics that stipulates they can outthink and outplan a dog that has shown the ability to just take the keys and go for a joyride when it feels it.
All because it flatters themselves as superior. A hapless and losing superior always.
@ciggysmokebringer You can tell they're not really Serious Adults because they don't even have a parent's common sense grasp of how to deal with out of control children.
@gwynnion The Democrats have a playbook of some kind, in the event of X do Y. This must be drilled into freshmen congresspeople so hard that they start believing that everyone follows the same playbook and become confused when they don't. This playbook hasn't been updated since sometime around 1960, and then probably just to remove the part about Black people not being allowed to be Democrats.
Democrats and liberals are big believers in "Respect the processes and the protocols" even when those who profit from squeezing blood money out of the non-privileged for maximum profit are able too freely to go above their heads and buy enough judges and politicians to ignore and override those rules. Regulation means nothing when those with the gold can buy the regulators.
