Once a bear I think I’ve gotten virtual boy lens repair down to a science. Good flux and a microscope cannot be stressed enough.
️ @jeromeschoenfeld what's the microscope you're using for hardware? I imagine it's not a typical elementary science class microscope?
@strevat AmScope SE400-Z, it’s a somewhat inexpensive ($250?) scope for soldering and small repair jobs. It won’t show you onion cells or water bears.
@jeromeschoenfeld totally missed the magnified image in the original. The AmScope looks pretty sweet - maybe someday. I'd just be looking at things and saying “neat” today
@strevat get some jeweler’s glasses. Then you can look cool doing it.
