Golden Era wrestlers understood that their viewers want to watch a show, not just wrestling.
Modern wrestlers don't seem to do this to the same level, although legal issues may curtail their creativity. I doubt you could do Hell in a Cell these days.
Zoomers will never fully understand the cultural impact of the Golden Era of Wrestling (80s & 90s), but they are the catalyst behind the Dr. Disrespect persona & they've probably also inspired many other modern content creators.
If you can't be one of the greats, be like them.
For example, The Doc & others don't just play video games while a camera is pointed at them, they put on a show. The "production pageantry" is what builds & sustains their audience.
Putting on a show every time is one of my #streamerGoals. Hopefully one day I can meet that goal.
