ChatGPT can draw pictures by generating SVGs.
Here's "Write an SVG file depicting a detailed house with a roof, windows, a door, and a chimney. It should have a viewBox and an xmnls. There should be lots of detail."
ChatGPT can generate OpenSCAD files.
Here's: "Write an OpenSCAD file depicting a house."
@laen when I tried it, I had to nudge it, it didn't know how modules worked, it tried to create a module like it would a variable. It also had some issues generating cube syntax (missing the [] for size, and it assumed cubes were centered)
But I only needed to tell it that it screwed up and it fixed it. I had it generate a model of a camera, and also a colored flag and it was able to do those with minimal back and forth.
It's pretty cool, but usually "confidently incorrect"
@pepper Yeah, I tried to get it to add a roof and windows, and it started failing pretty badly.
For a lot of its outputs, I think of it as an enthusiastic junior developer. Needs a lot of supervision, but mostly good enough.
@laen I tried things like that multiple times (yet with more technical promts) and never got more than one visible difference with two objects.
