New blog post and a request for help - I'm looking for examples of national portals / infrastructure / support for citizen science / crowdsourcing projects
https://www.openobjects.org.uk/2023/01/national-approaches-to-crowdsourcing-citizen-science/
So far I have France and Slovenia - does your country have one that I haven't found yet?
Thanks everyone who's suggested national portals and organisations for citizen science and crowdsourcing! I've added them to my post at https://www.openobjects.org.uk/2023/01/national-approaches-to-crowdsourcing-citizen-science/
I've also updated an earlier post on international crowdsourcing projects https://www.openobjects.org.uk/2015/05/crowdsourcing-world/ for links about specific projects
Thanks to @BuffaloResearch @DavidH @_bydbach_ @ennomeijers @alastairdunning @CitSciLab @agata @MadorlandoLiz (hopefully I didn't miss anyone out!)
Hi @mia
Your list of national citizen science efforts is wonderful. Thank you very much for sharing.
Maybe you would like to add Civis, which is the Brazilian Citizen Science platform. The link is https://civis.ibict.br/ Civis was built by using the same software developed by Ibercivis in Spain for the eu-citizen.science platform. Civis was launched in 2022 - the event (in Portuguese) is recorded on YouTube at

Your list will help me a lot. Thanks.
@lesandrop I'd love to know more about what you're working on
Hi @mia. Thanks for your interest. I'm studying the short-term and long-term engagement of citizens in action on climate change. It is a longitudinal analyze of how authorities act and how citizens react/participate. Findings can help us to improve the relationship between citizens and government. For now, I'm focusing on Brazil. I will share information abou it in Mastodon when we have some outcomes.
@lesandrop wow! That's such important work. All best to you!
