@mitchw You can check it out on @index, their (awesome btw) newsletter has been federated for quite some time. It just looks like an external link, because Mastodon does not currently support the "Article" content type.

@FifiSch @index thanks! I would love to see Mastodon and microblog support. The article article content type. But this is a great start.

@mitchw @index Hopefully they implement it soon. Social Web Foundation (of which Mastodon is a member) now has a working group on long-form content.

Their current approach makes sense in the context of a minimalist microblogging app, but sadly greatly limits the magic of federation.
