CSS finally adds vertical centering. Minimum required version are: Chrome: v123, Firefox: v125, and Safari: v17.4. Give it a try and we can now forget about that CSS meme about vertical centering :P https://build-your-own.org/blog/20240813_css_vertical_center/
@nixCraft Finally! Can't figure out why they waited so long to add something so basic.
@nixCraft Aww beans... I had a whole folder of those memes
@nixCraft Now if they would only make it easier to <div style="align-content-horizontal: center; width:100px;">
@nixCraft blimey, didn't realise it was 1st April.
Last I checked we were in August.
@nixCraft now we just have to wait for enough people to use those browser minimums, else we also still need to write in the fallbacks
In 10-20 years, I hope they'd also add `html en/decode` and `ulr en/decode` functions to JavaScript. Finally.
@nixCraft way years after I quit coding front-end pages, this would be handy so long ago
@nixCraft it's a shame it took them so long.
