You are either for human rights or not. It’s not a part time job.
@no1lion99 @ryanhoulihan The reality here is that, if Israel does nothing, nothing changes in Gaza and Hamas. If Israel does what they are doing, which is razing Gaza to the ground and everyone with it, it also changes nothing with Gaza and Hamas.
@locksmithprime @ryanhoulihan Here in the US we have had almost 24/7 coverage since the Oct 7 attacks. I have mostly posted about those in Gaza because the coverage is so unbalanced. There isn’t 24/7 coverage when Israel bulldozes homes and uses the army to displace Palestinians in the West Bank.
Hamas attacks were horrific.
Using state power to reneg on agreements and force people off their land is also horrific.
The only pathway out is peace.
@no1lion99 @ryanhoulihan But do you believe both sides want peace?
@locksmithprime @ryanhoulihan That depends on what you mean by “both sides”. I believe 90-95% of most populations want to live in peace.
The history and context though mean that those who control power on both sides are incentivized not to.
@no1lion99 @ryanhoulihan True. One may ask why the 90% in Gaza allow the Hamas to rule, but in truth what is it they can do? Exterminate everything and still there will be a few terrorists left, and that is enough to restart everything. Like cockroaches.
@locksmithprime @ryanhoulihan One should also ask why a government that admits is is committing war crimes is “allowed to rule”? Like I said, this isn’t a part time job. Half the population of Gaza has never politically consented to Hamas’ rule. Stop using straw men.
@no1lion99 @ryanhoulihan And let's not even start with this "strawman" hurling. Reserve "strawman" yelling to those who have nothing else to say.
