@pixelfed private account follows still do not work. Not getting notifications of follow requests, they don't show up in the app. What is it that you fixed?

@pixelfed they show up on the web, but not in the follow requests tab which just spins:

@pl We're working on that as we speak!

@pixelfed this made the app usable for the first time for me. Many of my photos exceed 5 megas and not having auto scaling to the platform was a huge problem. Just made my first post since the first after I joined. Great work!

@pixelfed What "newer formats" are supported? Does that include photos with the P3 color profile, or will they still get converted to sRGB?

@pixelfed doI need a separate account from a pixelfed instance to log in? Or can I use the pixelfed app with my mastodon.social account?

@robirobsen @pixelfed yes, unfortunately you’ll need a new account for a new instance in the #Fediverse.
Pixelfed has an option called Login with Mastodon (or something like that), but it’s not an OIDC login, just an import, which makes your registration easier.

@blint @pixelfed thanks for the clarification! When you say "pixelfed has", do you mean the pixelfed app (which one?), or a specific instance? Haven't found this feature yet, using my browser on pixelfed.social or using the pixelfed app

@robirobsen @pixelfed pixelfed server has this option, but I think not much
instances using this option.

@robirobsen @pixelfed Yes, you need. Different servers and services. But you can follow a pixelfed account from any mastodon account. You need a pixelfed account only if you’ll publish images and fotos, or you want more efficient way to see images.
