Today's media fail:
In employment relations, the term severance means the additional pay and benefits an employee gets on layoff/resignation.
It does not mean "we pay you until the end of employment, go f**k yourself" as Trump's "buyout" offer as known thus far.
Again, it's not a buyout if I simply pay you until employment ends.
At best it's paid leave.
