According to iPhone users, once you switch to the iPhone, there's no going back to Android.

Is it true? 🤔

Dave

@nixCraft I've never owned an android phone but after using one for work, having a go with friends phones and using android tablets i can safely say i would not switch unless there was no other option. Everything just feels "clunky".

@sudoaptgetlife @nixcraft
A lot of that is because of the animation speeds. The easiest way I've found to make it feel just as snappy is to enable Developer Options and speed up the animations from 1 to .5

Does this require a little tinkering? Yes. Is it worth it in the long run? Also yes.

@riderexmachina @sudoaptgetlife @nixCraft

I just turned them off completely, and ya I'll be giving this a go for a while. Will probably help with battery life in the long run too.

@riderexmachina @sudoaptgetlife @nixCraft That works great until your banking apps start nagging you about dev mode.

@Pantrygheist
So far the only app that's nagged me about it is a coffee place's digital punchcard app.

But I also mostly only do my banking on an actual PC.

Thanks @riderexmachina ...I had no idea.
fairly straightforward....nice tip.

@sudoaptgetlife @nixCraft Apple products feel clunky when I have to use them too, because they are different from what I'm used too. I don't think a good comparison can be made without using both, in a similar bracket of performance and over an extended period of time.

@sudoaptgetlife @nixCraft Have you tried using an Android phone with the same pricetag as an iPhone? I wonder if it would feel as clunky to you. That Android phone may have been like 7 times cheaper. There's a lot of difference between cheap and middle priced Android phones
