[P] Also, I'm going to say it: Tomcat's VA and character writing is MUCH better in Neurodiver. MUCH. They were always supposed to be an enby, but they had this played up. Utterly fake American South accent. It was so over the top. And they were written in an inauthentic way that some found "charming," apparently, but rubbed me the wrong way. They felt like a tokenised joke enby character. People do like their joke tokens, I guess... but I'm not a fan.

[P] Enter, Neurodiver. Tomcat is now much more authentic as a person, they feel like they have an identity. And I'd've sworn up and down that their VA is an enby too—and it turns out they are. Instead of a fake accent and forced chareezma, we have a mild-mannered, slouchy, insecure nerd who feels like the kind of hacker personality they're described as, vs. the '80s "The Computer Guy" vibes of the original. I value the effort made to be respectful.

[P] Remember the flanderised flaming gay characters popular in the '90s? Tomcat reminded me of that. I was worried us enbies would go through that phase of being joke tokens because humans sure are. The Read Only Memories dev stepping up to fix that is Very Cool. I know people have opinions about this, but so do I! No flanderised token joke characters, thanks! Tomcat's change is a huge improvement, and a kindness. Good-o! FYI? We dig Neurodiver. *tailwag*
