Privacy Forecast: Folks block cookies, turn off GPS, get a VPN and reconfigure their firewall then post a detailed social media post about where they are, how they think and what their family is eating that night.
I get it, but let's keep some perspective here.
Language Models are currently very good at synthesizing easy to collect data like social media posts, and make it useful for advertising/propaganda.
If you'd like to be kept "private" I recommend being a little more unhinged online.
And it's my opinion that ABC corp is WAY ahead of the other LLM developers. They have access to training data that no one else has and a thousand times more of it (Gmail, Youtube, Google Scholar, Maps etc)
But for us down here in the mines, the techno storms above don't really mean anything except every once in awhile, when a crumpled advertisement for a volvo floats down to me.
