Duke Maximilian Joseph in Bavaria was born on this day, December 4th, in 1808. He was the father of Empress Elisabeth of Austria.

While he is often depicted in movies as a devoted father, in reality, he relished his life as a wealthy aristocrat.

Sleduji německý seriál Die Kaiserin, což je o mladé císařovně Alžbětě (Sisi) a jejím muži císaři Frantovi Pepovi Jedničkovi. A jakože dobrý! Historické nepřesnosti tam jsou, botoxem napíchaná žena Maxmiliána I. mě triggeruje, ale vlastně mi to celkově nevadí. Protože si pak sám dohledávám, kdo byl kdo a jestli se to, co jsem v seriálu viděl, skutečně stalo.
A co se kostýmů a lokalit týče, tak paráda.
