I’ve walked for exercise since high school. No matter where I’ve lived or traveled, I’ve walked. Navigating new places and getting my steps in brings such joy. For a brief stint about 8 or so years ago I became a runner, but ultimately it just wasn’t for me. I do other forms of exercise, but walking is a daily practice. While I get in some walking at work, it’s when I’m home in the evenings that I get in a few miles. This week I’ve been off work a few days and they have been over 10 mile days. If only I didn’t have to go back to work next week 🙂

For now, I will enjoy putting one foot in front of the other, making the most of each day. #exercise #walking

Happy Spring Equinox all 🙂 for once the weather is as it should be on the "official" first day of spring
Just nipped outside for a bit of a walk, walked to Danny B's and back and about the same length the other way, and walked around on the green for a bit. Neighbours seeing me aimlessly wandering about have probably had any suspicions that I'm a bit of a weirdo confirmed, but I'm a weirdo in a good way! 😄 #spring #equinox #walking

I think I want to set myself a walking challenge. Work has been very busy so I haven’t been out as much as I would have liked but now with the days becoming longer I can go for a decently long walk in the evenings too. I’d like to set myself a certain number of kms in a month or something like that. Will have to give it some thought. I just think that a challenge will motivate me to go out there more often.
