Good morning! Wishing you all a beautiful day filled with only good things, high energy and positivity! I’ll get towels washed today and sacrifice the closing of a fitness ring or two to sit down and read. Right now, I’m drinking my decaf coffee and enjoying it while listening to the last little bit of Resonance Surge by Nalini Singh. I’ll start Primal Mirror on Friday when hubs returns to work.
Be kind to yourself and those around you, hug tight those you love most and smile, you are loved and appreciated! #GoodMorning #Positivity #AudioBooks #Braille
@stevendbrewer I got so much out of the Moby Dick #audiobook.
As much as I enjoyed every page, let's face it, it's a slog. But the actor reading was amazing, lots of emotion and character voices. I took it on a bunch of long car trips: huge fun. And the archaic style and pacing, all the nautical jargon and dialect, the audio was a HUGE help.
I love to read in bed at the end of the day and I wore headphones and read along. God I enjoyed it so much. #Audiobooks count!
Two #audiobooks in a row where I cannot stand the main character. I have no luck in choosing stories to listen to lately. At least the one I'm currently listening to isn't bad story wise, just the main character is getting really obnoxious. #amreading #reading
#writephant #selfpromo The three of my books that are with a publisher (47North) have audiobook versions.
The amazing Mary Robinette Kowal, narrator extraordinaire, did the audiobooks for The Far Time Incident and its sequel!

And my standalone, Regarding Ducks and Universes, is narrated by wonderful Alexander Cendese!

@adriabailton
Has any of my writing been produced in audio?
Not yet, but I've submitted to a couple of podcasts, so maybe one day.
@adriabailton
When I write, do I consider how my stories will sound in audio?
Absolutely. Gone are the days when you can randomly assign unpronounable names containing weird punctuation . . . thinking about how things will sound on a podcast or an audiobook is just part of craft now.
@adriabailton
Do I have a favorite narrator or a narrator who's books I read because they narrate?
Absolutely. Richard Armitage.
I have mysteries he's narrated, even Charles Dickens (who's not a favorite). I just love his voice.
