What's the bravest thing you've ever had to do that didn't involve violence?
I'll go first...
11 years ago when I knew I had to separate from my wife even though I had no money, no where to live, and knowing that if I didn't, I was probably going to kill myself.
Luckily a friend took me in.

Telling my parents that I was gay.
I had to work up my nerve for that _twice_ - the first time, right when I was about to tell them, my dad made a crack about "as long as he's not sleeping with guys" or something and that pushed it back another two years.
@darkfoxprime oof. I'm sure that wasn't easy. I hope that things eventually smoothed out.
@Mrfunkedude Oh yeah, they're perfectly fine with it now. I just need to be careful about what movies I watch with my mom, so she doesn't start comparing notes with me about the guys on screen.
