What's the bravest thing you've ever had to do that didn't involve violence?
I'll go first...
11 years ago when I knew I had to separate from my wife even though I had no money, no where to live, and knowing that if I didn't, I was probably going to kill myself.
Luckily a friend took me in.

I will never get over how disgusting our society's treatment of self-medication is. I had front row seats to see up close how most of the societal problems we blame on addiction would be entirely avoidable if it weren't for the moralistic stigma most people attach to it.
@Vincarsi I hope that your partner is doing better now?
