Had some custom temporary tattoos made to hand out at #Teardown.
@geekmomprojects Is it a #circuit board?
@geekmomprojects Nice! Now for one that actually lights up
@jeroen94704 something like that does exist, though not in a WS2812 shape: https://spritelights.com/
@geekmomprojects I've been messing with the super tiny LED packages for so long I can't tell if that WS2812B-5050 is actual size.
@ArchiteuthisFlux after working with the super tiny LEDs the 5050s feel huge, but the tattoo is 1.5" square, so it's *just* a bit larger than a 5050
@geekmomprojects The driver chip in a WS2818B-3838 is just a regular 8 pin DIP.
@ArchiteuthisFlux I'll have to talk to @settinger about the appropriately sized corresponding battery implant
@ArchiteuthisFlux @settinger also, wouldn't they be WS2812-380380?
@geekmomprojects @settinger Oh yeah, I forgot they're labeled in decimillimeters.
What's the metric equivalent of a bitch? (as we recently decided is the term for a tenth of an inch)
@ArchiteuthisFlux @settinger that, I'm afraid, is beyond my pay grade!
@ArchiteuthisFlux @settinger and, of course, the better response, which occurred to me far too late to be funny, would have been, "I'm afraid I don't know the standards because I don't have any."
@geekmomprojects @settinger Haha nice.
Now I can be pretty sure your husband isn't on Mastodon.
@geekmomprojects this is adorably nerdy.
@petrillic that's the goal!
@geekmomprojects May I ask who you used to get them made? That's a great idea as a giveaway.
@cstephens2 it is a fun giveaway. I ordered them from temporarytattoos.com. I was quite happy with the quality.
I also found that you can buy your own inkjet printable tattoo paper (though you can't print white unless you have white ink for your printer). I'm going to try that as well, but haven't had a chance to do so yet.
@geekmomprojects oh nice, where did you make them?
@WowSuchCyber I ordered them from temporarytattoos.com. I was quite happy with the quality.
