I don't want your app.
Please stop judging me for preferring the web.
Please respect the choice that I always make and stop nagging me.

@judell Turn off #javascript and cookies...or just use the #Brave browser!
@olyerickson Yeah, there's no good reason why Brave isn't my default everywhere.
@judell yes! Why do websites also need to be apps? Why can't people use web browsers for things on mobile? I'll never understand it.
This post brought to you via mastodon's advanced web interface on an Android tablet.
@judell On one hand we have apps that refuse to have an app when they need one "because you have a PWA already, why would you need a native app" and on the other - we have apps that don't need to exist when the web versions are perfectly fine.
@judell but how else are we going to track your every move and then sell the data?
@judell “Please respect the choice that I always make and stop nagging me” is captured great by this article, I think: https://www.technologyreview.com/2022/10/21/1061260/innovation-technology-what-happened/
@lxo Trapp!
@judell Me, every time an app (like signal) asks for my phonebook or other privileges and makes me click on “Remind me later” in lieu of offering a “No. Don’t ask again.”
@judell are they publicly shaming their web development team. All those poor JavaScript devs must feel terrible that their Swift/Java cohorts are better at their job then they are. How dare that do that!
