people working on FOSS: did you see this and did you apply (grants)? https://sovereigntechfund.de/en/challenges/
because of all our hardware projects i'm already spread too thin to contribute in a bigger way to sw projects that i think matter a lot, like linux arm kernel and drivers, mesa, wlroots, wayfire, sway, gnome, pipewire, creative apps like gimp, inkscape, audio and video editors... but i would love to see the relevant people getting this cash and pushing FOSS desktops forward
and of course i would like to see the fediverse and related things win

@mntmn would love to do sth but not sure which project could use it best, and not personally involved with anything relevant. If you or someone else have an idea, would love to support it or get it ready for submission.
@brunomiguel could this be relevant for any of your projects?
@mntmn this is such a cool program. I'll share it with friends and keep it in mind to explore and see what the U.S. (or my state) has and, if there's a lack of it, to figure out ways to push for a version of it.
@mntmn cc @spritelyinst - this might be of interest to you!
@mntmn Thanks for sharing about the challenges! We also offer longer-term funding/support for open source infrastructure (maintenance, etc.), more details here: https://sovereigntechfund.de/en/applications/
