I love a web UI where you need to click _off_ of an overlay to dismiss it, but you literally can't find another part of the page that doesn't also respond to clicks so you're constantly looking for slivers of negative space between things to delicately place your cursor on.
Thanks a lot DataDog dashboards writ large.
@double_a_runi @onelson I was posting about this at one point https://mastodon.social/@mcc/111904422517147512 but I didn't have a catchy name. "Tunnel of safety" is pretty good
@double_a_runi @mcc @onelson this bullshit is on by default and switches itself back on sometimes but I find it worth the detour to settings>playback to disable this misfeature
Edit: I'm fairly sure those fuckers move it about too
@onelson me trying to maximize/drag around the discord window on mac :'(
@sleepytea @onelson Trying to drag around a browser window full of tabs (*particularly looking at Chrome*).
@onelson Sort of the opposite-yet-equally-annoying counterpart to the new Windows 11 "dialogs" where hitting escape does not cancel, you must navigate to and activate the "cancel" button specifically.
