One more small leak, this is the development board we have been working on. We hope to show videos soon working on it.
@BUF0 very nice! imx based?
@BUF0 Are the cameras by any chance able to synchronize there image capturing?
(For stereoscopic video capture using the "dev board")
@BUF0 Nice! I hope the UART connector will make it to the final product, in one form or another
No audio jack however? Or is it just absent from the dev board but planned for the phone?
@BUF0 Oh, and while I'm in "wishlist" mode: will you also consider upstream support state when selecting peripherals? I'm thinking mostly of the PMIC/charger and Type-C controller, in my experience those are some of the biggest pain points of current Linux-first phones...
@awai
The final version will have an audio jack, and the next boards will probably have an audio jack as well.
It might be a great idea to keep the UART connector, we will consider the possibility!!!
@BUF0 That would be great! Easy UART access (without needing to void your warranty) is pretty much essential to get kernel/bootloader fixes and improvements from the community
@BUF0 @awai My personal idea is to put the UART inside the headphone jack.
